Pros

The pay is decent and there is a 401k match (100% on the first 2% that you contribute and 50% on the next 4% that you contribute).

Cons

The recent acquisition of the former GE Water business unit is a nightmare. It is a living hell to work in this business unit. The finance organization is in complete chaos. Finance employees receive e-mails, urgent requests, and calls from managers at all hours of the night. Three employees have recently been in car wrecks from the late nights and lack of sleep. There is no structure or processes in place. Systems (which is really Tableau, used as a giant pivot table) are terrible and there isn’t even a common share drive to save and share massive excel files. Instead everyone resorts to e-mailing tons of excel files and you never know if you’re working with the latest version. Employees are treated poorly and are not able to have any kind of life outside of work. Don’t plan on being able to see your spouse or children here. Working weekends and on holidays is the norm. Friday nights managers send requests with things due back Sunday afternoon. My advice to others is to look elsewhere; I wouldn’t wish this torture on anyone.

Pros

None, as long as Euros hold all the positions of authority in North America

Cons

Culture of abuse and fiefdoms with no leadership. "Make the best decision" means they will take credit if it goes well and you will be blamed if it doesn't. HR means find a way to screw Americans out of money. Catastrophic only health insurance. Worst 401k around. Late and non-payment of vendors, and outside contractors. They will nick you on company expenses while management regularly gallivants around in the best hotels and spends lavishly on wine and alcohol.

Pros

Firm’s reputation. Some good opportunities on the service side of the business.

Cons

Company is very poorly run. Management wasting opportunity presented by financial results to restructure. Not that they could. GE merger is a disaster. No one in charge of the integration. No targets, goals or synergies.
