Their Technology is a joke

Pros

They have very tight security (not really a pro unless you are their information security officer and you get paid to make people hate using a work computer).

Cons

It's so secure that it is unusable. At the same time, it is wildly out of date. Forcing people to use Internet Explorer is bad enough, but then you're forced to use IE9. Yes, it is 2016 and you have to use IE9, something so bad that even Microsoft quit using it. Need to google an employer of an applicant? Too bad, you're not allowed. Need to print to PDF to upload into their system? Too bad, not allowed. Want to use your first name and last name in your email address? Too bad, not allowed. Need to save something to your desktop for quick reference? Too bad, not allowed. Want to feel like you're in prison being told what you can and can't do/say/think? That's okay, that's what they are there for! Even their laptops don't have an HDMI or even DVI connection. Seriously? HDMI has been out for over a decade, and is standard on TVs for the last several years. You use solid state drives, but require VGA connections... That's like using an iPhone to send a morse code telegraph. Take something new and force it to work on something old. Also, your help desk people are on completely different pages. You can submit the same question 3 times and get 3 different answers. If you guys are so big on "standards" then why don't your people know those standards, let alone follow them? Seriously, I could go on, but it's time for lunch. Maybe you should let me know how many times to chew my food before I swallow, but I bet that's in one of the hundred policies or so I had to sign. If there is a standard number, maybe I'll just ask the help desk a couple of times and go with whichever one I feel like because they won't be the same number.

Check Processor

Pros

Overall, SWBC is a great company to work for. You can't complain when you get free health insurance, and a free gym membership. The hours are great, there's lots of flexibility with time off, and most of the employees have great attitudes!

Cons

Overall, the pay rate for the amount of work that a Check Processor does is not adequate at all. There are also so very minor things, such as always being business casual and having tattoos if you have them.
