Pros

Great employees and customers. Its nice to build relationships with your loyal customers and employees. The service program used to be the best. You used to get compensated nicely for working holidays, weekends, and nights. Now the pay is low no matter how much experience you have.

Cons

No work/life balance. Too many hours and expectations for the low pay. Too many executive positions added and fewer hours in the stores to help customers. Customers are complaining that our service program is nonexistent and Fry's has taken it over. Prices are rising and your getting less for your money. Always out of stock on most basic items for long periods of time. Pulling more brand name items and substituting with store brands. The climate in the stores is very negative. Stores are micromanaged, so they are alike. Lines are the worst I have ever seen them. You cant take pride in being a Safeway employee anymore.

Pros

If you get recognized, your loved. If you fall under suspicion lead by rumors, everything is then nit picked. Fine, especially if you have nothing to hide.Unfortunately Mitsy in HR, Denver has her own following....

Cons

Same as Pros. You make the choice!
