Pros

-Part time hours -Working overtime considered a grievous offense for hourly workers -No problems scheduling around another job/school -Switching shifts with coworkers usually easy -Requested days off usually honored -Usually able to pick up extra shifts from coworkers or other stores -Most coworkers helpful and enjoyable to work with

Cons

-Starting pay is minimum wage with a $0.05 raise after 500 hours -New hire training consists of days of boring lessons on a computer, with very little actual training -Constant under scheduling forcing you to neglect your own work to stand at a cash register -Frequent calls on days off to come in -Ridiculous script to follow with customers now rivals some used car dealers -Company hires "spies" to nitpick your performance

Cons

job fair not catered towards corporate positions. Feel like only track is retail management if want to advance in field.
