Pros

The actual grunt workers are the only people keeping this company together.

Cons

Management, lack of HR to support employees, and lack of direction. The Management in many of the departments but especially IT are severely lacking. They would hire from outside the company, hiring management that had no skill in that management and no experience in that department. Employees who excel at their positions and talents are constantly ignored and not treated well. Just a warm body filling the position is all you will be good for. Do not dare having a difference in opinion or valid reason for the different opinion. Disgusting treatment of good strong employees! Human Resources that don't back employees but the agenda of management and the good ole boys club mentality.

Pros

The benefits were great (low cost health insurance, 401k, short term disability). Also....many people were allowed to work remotely and provided flexible work hours.

Cons

Sage NA is a huge company and each division is ran differently. My experiences at one division is most likely different then the experiences at another. At my division......there was a HUGE disconnect between employees and management. Goals and forecasting was a top down approach and often times, you would start the year without even seeing your yearly quota. Management never engaged employees or customers or input. There was also huge turn over in upper management and their replacements weren't much better. Employee engagement and morale is extremely low. Very few employees care about the company and frequently maintain the status quo. The company/division overall lacks innovation and vision to become a first rate company. Last, the company cares very little about the community or environment, wasting thousands of pages of paper without recycling.

Pros

I would have said the pro was working remotely, but that was taken away, despite meeting all of our goals.

Cons

Our team met all sales goals for FY22 while working from home. Our reward? Forcing us to come into the office two days every week, adding many hours to our day commuting, which is unpaid and comes out of our free time.
