Pros

Good benefits, ample vacation. Also can usually count on constant turnover in exec mgmt and all corporate policies annually ... so no matter how bad things are, it all changes again next year.

Cons

Complete inability by sr mgmt to make develop a cohesive strategy or business plan and follow it through. Recent (2008-09) execs have driven morale into the ground causing most to hang on simply til other jobs can be found. No motivation, pride, innovation, or hope/desire for career development due to profoundly poor communication from sr mgmt. No recognition for good vs bad performance. Instability's been the only constant with endless reorgs, layoffs, comp plan changes, and lack of follow through or accountability by current execs. In recent years, management's actually begun reneging on comp commitments to sales and sticking it to sales every quarter when the comp plans they've designed turn out to pay too much. Credibility is shot. Everyone's just putting in time and waiting for an opportunity to jump ship.

Pros

You’ll get plenty of experience juggling constant urgency and figuring things out on your own. There’s exposure to a lot of areas due to shifting priorities. Leadership sets a strong example—though not always in the way you’d hope. The company talks a lot about values, which makes for interesting conversation.

Cons

As a manager, I was often stuck enforcing top-down decisions that made no sense, like a global return-to-office mandates for fully remote teams. I saw constant layoffs. Leadership prioritized control over outcomes, with constant pressure, unrealistic timelines, and no regard for work-life balance. There was little to no support for managers, and when things went wrong, blame rolled downhill fast. The culture was toxic, trust was nonexistent, and there were no real opportunities to grow or develop your team. Leadership talked about values, but their actions rarely matched.

Pros

They are flexible when it comes to taking off/PTO Good benefits Coworkers are GREAT Experience with Sage looks good on your resume - its a great stepping stool, but not long term

Cons

-Work Life Balance is almost nonexistent - no analyst should be toggling over 100 cases. I was working AFTER hours OFF THE CLOCK almost everyday because management makes a FUSS about OT . -Reopening CLOSED cases - management KNOWING Analysts are overwhelmed continued to make up even MORE work. Reopening closed cases and having analysts who are already stressed go and CALL these customers is INSANE -Management seems to take it personally when you resign (even with a two weeks notice) -Return to Office work. Random and Unnecessary, most analysts work better at home, there is NO collaborating and the team really cannot sit together because the office is so packed. -Management will take advantage of you if you let them. If you are not being properly compensated for overextending yourself. Just say No 9/10 You wont be ! -Management (higher up) has a 'If they do not like it, they can leave' attitude. (& Then are surprise when you actually leave) -My advice soak up all the knowledge you can and move on to a space where you are fairly compensated and treated.
