Pros

The company values and overall mission are great. There are some great people working in middle management.

Cons

There is very little standardization with job training and procedures. workload and stress are high and compensation is very low. Upper management is completely out of touch with the job requirements of the assistant levels, but they stack more on the already overworked assistants' plates instead of hiring more personnel. Extremely high turnover rate and low job satisfaction.

Pros

Some nice people and former colleagues work here but upper-level folks are VERY questionable.

Cons

So many...unsupported, very little training, ancient processes circa 2001...just scary.

Pros

The only good thing is the benefit package, but not good enough to keep top talent.

Cons

All of the top talent leave at some point within 5 years. The nepo babies are then hired on with zero experience. So, it really is a family business but not the good kind.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience at Sage. Our HR team engages all employee referral candidates in the same screening and interview processes as other non-referral candidates, and they are not hired strictly due to the nature of their relationship with a current employee. And while it is true that Sage is highly supportive of current employees referring people they know for open roles (which may include friends, family members, or former professional/personal acquaintances), it is even more important that those referrals meet the posted qualifications of the roles for which they are applying to be considered for and hired into those positions. Once hired, it is then expected that all employees regardless of who may have referred them meet the ongoing and changing expectations for the position.
