Pros

Very helpful employees, good entry-level experience in academic publishing, flexible hours. They really tried to train is in different areas and if you wanted to stay on in the company, there were opportunities.

Cons

The interviewing process for an internship at this company was extensive...I was there for over 2 hours and had to meet with 3 different people! They didn't always have enough work for their interns to do, so sometimes I would sit there with no work.

Pros

Sage is a great company to work for! The managment truly cares about their employees and the community as a whole. The working enviornment is collegial and supportive. Working at Sage is like working with your family and friends although you won't be successful if you aren't able to work hard and dedicate yourself to getting your work done. Sage is a great company committed to publishing the highest level of academic content and research and a company that truly cares for it's authors, editors and societies.

Cons

There are several long time employees who don't appear to be very productive and seem to be more interested in the benefits and perks that Sage provides than they are in working together to keep Sage great. They can be negative and resistant to changes. As with most companies some departments are better than others.
