Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding your work experience with Sage and a grateful note of thanks for working diligently for us for over 6 years. We seek to create a positive workplace culture and take your feedback seriously. You clearly feel we have missed the mark regarding overall leadership practices, which is disconcerting. As you know, our values are to take responsibility, seek progress, and value people. If we failed on any of those fronts, we would want that addressed. We continue to strive for continuous feedback and to learn from that insight. If you are open to sharing more about your experiences while employed with Sage, please reach out to me directly at Donna.Gray@sagepub.com so we can better understand how to resolve any issues.

Pros

Everyone employed is of a similar cast, they don't like conflict! Great perks, especially when you've completed your probation period. I was informed after completing 5 and 10 years more benefits. Anniversary trips to places like California and India. Plenty of working from home, so great work-life balance. Lots of activities to do together and depending on your outlook on life. Bonus every year I was there.

Cons

Empty office! So many employees working from home it is so hard to communicate with your colleagues. Huge lack of cohesion. Promotions seemed to be reserved for a very few select employees. HR extremely very weak. I found some employees doing next to nothing yet enjoying the benefits of those working hard. Far too many silos in different departments.

NOT an Equal Opportunity Employer

Pros

You get to add a prestigious name to your CV.

Cons

Though the company as well as the CEO keeps claiming on their website and in the public spaces that they believe in equality and employee satisfaction, but they do not. Just like all the other companies in the publishing industry, they too believe in exploiting their employees in terms of salary. Though, they claim to give you equal opportunity, but they refuse to pay you equal salary. If by any sad chance, you had accepted a very poor salary in your past employment, they will not consider the standards of pay cheque for concerned position, but tell you only about standards of hike. That's all!
