      Sallie Mae offers a chance to do meaningful work with fair compensation. Opportunities for advancement are available if you want to pursue them.

      Cons

      Benefits are good and the company subsides them well, but the options aren't really geared towards my level of maturity and where I am in the life cycle of my career.

      * Small, intimate company likened to a family which has a sort of two degrees of separation to allows greater cross-department communication. * Given the growth the company is continually undergoing, there is many opportunities to grow with the company. * Pay is competitive with the market. * The company seeks to be expansive, inclusive, and forward-thinking when it comes to growth.

      * At times, it can be tradition-based rather than willing to embrace changes (whether technological, procedural, etc) * At times, can be siloed, with teams that don't inherently have multiple points of contact with other lines of business, thereby obscuring opportunities
