Pros

Sallie Mae overall is a great place to work, especially when just starting your professional career. I started working as a customer service advisor in Dec. 2020, since then I have been promoted twice. If you show you are passionate about your job, it will be noticed even when there are many other agents on the floor with you. Management encourages promotions, which I never seen until I started here, usually companies try to keep good employees as long as possible. Any concern you may have leadership listens, all the way up to the director. We are always recognized, and encouraged to go further. Work-life balance is great, PTO is there for anytime there is something that comes up.

Cons

PTO time includes any sick time, if you or a little one is sick PTO will have to be used. It also has to be requested before hand, so it cannot be used same-day.
