Pros

Managers I worked for were nice. Had some nice coworkers.

Cons

You have to do resets with customers in the store. On the day delivery is made you have to empty the boxes in the store not a back room while customers are in the store. You have to wait on customers while trying to do the things mentioned above. Always being told you are not make your “numbers”. Not enough staff that allows you to take vacation. No lunch room or refrigerator to put lunch in ( unless employees purchase one), no water cooler. No real instruction to employees who do not have a cosmetology background. There is no moving up in company unless you are buddies with the district manager. Employees are often working store by themselves as you only have so many hours to use for the whole week. Pay less than minimum wage.

Pros

Free samples, if they remember to actually give them to you. Decent benefits, but they dont explain the choices to you before you make one. Good products, ok commission. Relaxed about tattoos and fun hair colors or piercings.

Cons

Unstructured days, hours, and duties. I had no idea what was expected of me as an Assistant. Catty, unprofessional management and that includes upper management as well. No communication, and if I had a question, no one could give me a direct answer. HR was so hard to reach. Half the time the checks weren't accurate for the amount of time I worked. If you make a complaint about another employee abusing the system or bullying coworkers, dont expect anything to be done. No decision making skills in management. You're just a number, and they dont care about worker happiness. On top of all that, the computers dont work and crash all the time. Sometimes tech wont even help. Shipments come damaged, with hazardous product leaking everywhere. Once again, nothing is done about it. Back room was full of brown recluses and nothing was done about that either. Just a terrible, terrible unprofessional company to work for. Wasted a lot of years.

Poor leadership, poor pay for non-VP people, benefits ok

Pros

Nice building, good cafeteria, rank and file are good people.

Cons

Poor pay, leadership says one thing and does another. They established what they wanted the culture to be and then didn't model any of it. CEO has replaced almost every VP and Senior Director and things were not improving.
