Pros

My experience and Salsify was positive. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly, cooperative and intelligent. Leadership is strong and self aware. I definitely think the company is poised to be successful!

Cons

Some teams run lean which can create a higher workload.

Pros

Great people who care, technology actually works, exciting space (ecommerce) and the office is really fun (before Covid) or when people are around. Good snacks, drinks, etc and HQ is in a great part of town.

Cons

Sales culture sucks and is not a place for high performing sales reps. Typical deal size is less than $100k. Very few are more than $250k. If you want to make low to mid 200’s this is your company! Poor pay, long hours, high quotas and bad commission structure. Salsify is an engineering first company with sales ranked somewhere down the priority list. Reps are loaded down with paper work and internal bureaucracy. Frustrating. Finance controls sales and are very hard to work with.. Painful. Company tried backing out on paying a Q4 spiff. Reps had to fight to get paid. Ugly. Only 11 out of the 61 reps made quota in 2021, similar numbers in 2020 and 2022 does not look much better, so few hit their OTE. Most were barely above their salary.. #1 rep in 2021 made less than $340k. Reps are starving and there is high rep turnover. Company lost 30% of their Strat team in the past few months and more in other groups. Takes 9-12 months to get up to speed with little to no commission dollars. Benefits are mediocre. Health plans have high deductibles. No 401k matching, wellness or ongoing education reimbursements. Company does not give stipends for cell phones or work from home expenses. Little to no stock options are given to ‘regular’ employees. The company says they are making changes but nothing will happen until 2023. If you want to join, wait til next year then ask all the right questions and get answers in writing.

Pros

The product is complex so having a technical mind is a huge plus. The CSM team is growing fast so they're certainly growing pains, which is recognized by leadership. Overall the great company culture, especially for those who are remote.

Cons

additional technical training for CSM's
