Pros

I started a few weeks ago! The on-boarding process is well organised and colleagues are very helpful during the first few days. The management is very close to the needs of the employees and ready to listen and help with any kind of problem! Everything is clear and there are opportunities to grow and the training is always based, planned and defined on the needs of the employees and if you want to be trained in a specific area, there is always the opportunity to evaluate it in a scalable way for the team and the company. A great place to be!

Pros

Supportive Work Environment: Salute has a collaborative culture where team members are genuinely helpful, making it a great place to work, especially for new hires. Management is approachable and receptive to feedback, and they take steps to ensure employees feel heard and valued. Career Growth Opportunities: The company offers good career development paths, including opportunities to cross-train in related areas. They encourage employees to build on their expertise, which has helped me gain confidence and broaden my skills. Work-Life Balance: Flexible hours and understanding management make it easier to maintain a balance between work responsibilities and personal life. This is especially beneficial in payroll, where deadlines can be stressful.

Cons

High-Pace During Payroll Cycles: The pace can be intense during payroll processing periods, particularly around month-end. This sometimes leads to longer hours, though the workload is manageable with good time management. Complex Systems: The payroll software and systems used can be complex and a bit outdated, which can make certain tasks more time-consuming and challenging, especially when troubleshooting issues. Limited Cross-Department Communication: While team collaboration is strong, cross-department communication can sometimes feel siloed, which occasionally causes delays in resolving payroll-related issues involving other teams.
