Riddled With Bureaucracy

Pros

Perks such as onsite gym with personal trainer, cafeteria that offers healthy food, onsite laundry services, 401(k) program. Located very close to light rail stop if you care for it. They organize an annual festival with food stalls representing various cuisines from around the world.

Cons

There is too much bureaucracy in the mid to senior level management and you have to know how to play politics to be in the good books of your manager. This kind of environment is not for everyone.

Pros

It's a job and you get paid. If you are good at politics and not the most talented, you can get paid for a very long time.

Cons

It's incredibly political. Many managers (there are some good ones) are ego driven and narsisitic. They hold on to their jobs only because they know how carfully craft lies to customers and upper management. Very destructive situation that has resulted in poor decisions which ultimately drove product quality low and customers away.

Pros

+Great Benefits +Great People +Free Lunch +Work from home luxury +Boss was fine, although a lot of promises that never happened

Cons

I came over with the Fusion-io acquisition and was shocked to find a 13B company run so poorly. Systems are ancient, if I worked in the 80s this is honestly what it would have been like. Everything is done in Excel, and I mean EVERYTHING. The company acquired Fusion-io for the technology and for the end user sales team and they couldn't figure out how to Incorporate us. The talent that was lost during the acquisition is sad, outstanding talent from Fusion-io. If you weren't on the finance or legal side, you couldn't get anything approved. The executive team, while I'm sure are bright technology wise, didn't have the business savvy to make the company work. It was as if SanDisk couldn't get out of their own way and just couldn't figure out how to use an end user sales team.
