Pros

Good campus and competitive pay

Cons

- Stay away if you are from the subcontinent. I hope you get my point. - Lots and lots of favoritism. - Working hours are long and that comes with no appreciation. - Managers should first take English 101 lessons and should learn how to take decisions. - Knowledge sharing is close to none. The way documentation is carried out is hilarious. - Tools used are extremely old and nobody wants to move forward as everybody is comfortable. -

Pros

The only good thing I can think of is that SanDisk values highly technical people, especially Engineers who are basically required to be the technical leads and manage the projects. However, don't mistake the word value, they give highly technical people large roles filled with pseudo-authority, but the pay is not very competitive for the software industry.

Cons

The company culture at SanDisk is lacking. There is a real culture of mistrust and bullying at this company. As a current employee, I find that decisions are pushed much too high up the management chain. There is a desire to make decisions at very high levels and by specific people. Even insignificant details. Senior executives can be very unprofessional dressing down employees in broad audience meetings. Management will bully teams into working weekends to save one day on a schedule only to let 7 days lapse on the decision making chain for approvals. It is truly mind-boggling the way they treat their employees but refuse to re-evaluate their processes for efficiency.
