Pros

There are some really good people working here and great support from co-workers. Management has done a great job moving corporate goals to best match current industry demands. Industry leader

Cons

Limited possibilities of advancement. Seem to bring in from outside prior to developing internally. Compensation seems inconsistent and preferential. Many good people leave due to better opportunities a lack of support from management. This causes lot of re-learning, rather than building on knowledge. Management is weak in providing quidance to employees for long term career growth

Pros

wrok culture is relaxed. Benefits ok.

Cons

Too many re-orgs. The organization chart doesnt make any sense. Managers report to other managers. The company doesnt have any specific vision about what it wants to do. Too many projects are started and then scrapped off and the engineers are laid off if the project is cancelled and nobody even touches marketing and sales even if they give a wwrong forecast about the product capability leading to the cancellation of the project. Most of the work is being moved out of the US location to locations abroad.

Male dominated & they hire their friends first

Pros

There is some level of work-life balance as long as you are able to either say 'no' or independently establish a comp-time agreement that allows you some flexibility. They actively support volunteer activities, so that is a good point too.

Cons

The culture of nepotism and male domination creates a difficult environment for any woman trying to advance a career here. Be ready to be called "feisty" if you try. What works better is to know someone, rather than spend time working your fingers to the bone only to have them tell you that you are too independent.
