Pros

You get to be at the forefront of VR technology as it advances and experience some really cool games and tech. You meet all sorts of people from all over the world and curate exciting experiences for them. There is a lot of autonomy in how you run your store as long as you hit your metrics and huge room for growth as the company is expanding rapidly. There are many opportunities if you're willing to work for them! Everyone in corporate is very approachable and fun to work with. Company culture is so fun and exciting and the benefits of working for Sandbox, both personally and financially, help keep that excitement ignited.

Cons

If you take a lot of ownership in your role you'll end up wanting to be here all the time! The atmosphere and guests are fun and the fast-paced environment is exhilarating. That being said work-life balance is whatever you decide to make of it. As the saying goes, "All Things In Moderation".

Pros

• Able to chat freely with guests and other coworkers

Cons

There are barely any benefits to working here. The fast-paced environment, with additional difficulties whenever a tech issue arrives, makes the situation more frustrating. Tech support is unreliable at most times during any hardware or software issue. A problem that takes around 5 to 10 minutes to fix usually takes about 30 to an hour. Often, the situation is resolved by another employee. However, IT takes full credit once it is fixed. While this only sometimes happens, mentioning it would be a good idea since this situation has transpired multiple times. The props used within the game and body trackers seem to act like they are held together by ducktape and glue. Most of the props are easily damaged and can easily fall apart. Getting replacement parts is nearly impossible as they are shipped to our store within two months. The fast-paced working environment is understandable. Being unable to eat lunch or dinner during a 7-hour shift is not. Most employees go hungry during their shifts with no breaks. There were multiple instances where I could not be given a lunch or dinner break due to a busy schedule. At one point, I was even rushed to eat dinner before immediately coming back on floor. No employee deserves this treatment; this might have been illegal if I had been working full-time. The only benefit that ordinary employees get is a work shirt of limited sizes and six free games within the year. Overall not worth it due to previously mentioned cons.

Pros

easy labor, decent pay, fun games.

Cons

No accountability, managers will string you along for months, lazy employees who sit around and watch others work, blatant favoritism, skipped over for promotions to hire or promote people with less qualifications or knowledge, routinely bringing in new people with no idea what we do and then zero training.
