Worked here for over 20 years and used to love it when it was Hadco
Pros
Keeping a roof over my head, for now.
Cons
Management is not appreciative of their loyal employees. Most of us actually do care about our work and do want the company to succeed. I can remember when 100 - 200 people would line up every week to get in to fill out an application to get a job at the former Hadco. Now that it is Sanmina, and when they are doing any hiring, they have to beg people to apply at job fairs. The Owego facility used to be a shining star in the PCB industry. Now it is a black hole that just wants to suck the life out of its employees. No raises for employees in over 8 years. Production equipment is being mothballed and removed while the product is sent outside the facility to be processed elsewhere and then returned to be finished up. Can't meet delivery deadlines due to equipment being down while waiting for parts to be purchased that should be kept as spares on the shelf for making repairs. Too much red tape is present in the manufacturing process to allow for any creative thinking. The entire mentality now is put the board in, push the button, take the board out, repeat.
