      Poorly managed and a terrible place to work

      I am usually not a review writing type. Someone asked about me about this company recently and recommended that I write a review so others can exercise caution. If you ever get a call from viking services (Division of sanmina) run as far as you can. IN general Sanmina is a terrible place to work. Work life balance is good. But everything else is bad. They also completely lied to me about their financial outlook. The work environment and morale was downright bad. People were leaving every 2 weeks. I worked for a division that was doing enterprise storage and compute products. IT used to be called Newisys. It is now called viking services or some such thing. If you ever get a call from recruiters for this division (or for the rest of Sanmina for that matter) run the other way, unless you have no other choice.

      Good 1st level mgmt, supervisors and hard working people.

      Cons

      Reactionary and very cheap upper management. Many decisions require multiple levels of micro-management. They gain customers by extreme overpromising. They lose customers when they can't fulfill promises. Employees unappreciated so morale is very low. HR performs inquisitions. High turnover. Many good employees leave as soon as possible due to low potential for raises or advancement. No general wage increase in over 6 years, though promised many times. They target low wage workers through temp agency and engineers with H1-B.

      Management not keen on employer satisfaction or work load. Inadequate performance evaluation.
