      Genzyme (Ridgefield, NJ) was awesome but Sanofi, not so much

      Pros

      Excellent benefits but rather stingy pay. Interesting responsibilities & good opportunities for growth, but it mostly depends on your manager’s opinion of you. Beware of TOXIC bullying managers exerting “little emperor syndrome” & rather clueless upper management wondering why the turnover rate is so very high but only for specific departments. Find a better workplace, it’s not that hard!

      Cons

      Pressure cooker environment, your health & wellbeing could suffer (really all depends on your manager). Bullying & sexism is tolerated (again, it sadly depends on your manager) but YOU don’t have to take any abuse unless you need to make a living. There are so many other much nicer places to work.

      Good benefits and parental leave policy

      Cons

      No parking, too much red tape, must follow corporate guidelines and drink the kool-aid to survive. To many forced corporate morning meetings (that do nothing and a waste of time)...but if you drink up the corporate beverage you'll go far. It's not about the patient anymore at Sanofi...it's all about the stock price

      Pros

      Good vacation if you stay long enough, company shut down for Christmas. Good benefits.

      Cons

      Fire drill after fire drill. 3 leaders of diabetes division in 3 years. Reorg every year (no kidding)., usually around Christmas time. Sales management obsessed with metrics and dinners. Toxic environment for reps. Managers are free to set their own benchmarks regardless of what the company expects. In order to get a good rating you need to become a clone of your boss. Every time you get a new boss you have to start all over. Management very short term driven. If you have a bad week they persecute you. People don't know where company is headed. I do not know one rep who is happy working here. Last 3 years has been a storm of confusion, conflicting directives. Stay away
