      Too many people worked there for too long and were irrelevant, but somehow, hung on to fancy titles solely due to their length of employment.

      Benefits, acquired skills I could take with me to future jobs.

      Cons

      Was refused access to systems needed for my job then would get yelled at for going to other folks to acquire information, was forced to watch manager read a magazine when I setup a meeting to review files, no training, asked personal questions then directly insulted for personal answers. No training, no building staff.

      Pros

      Genzyme has many bright and talented workers. Important goal is to treat unmet medical need and fairly good research facilities.

      Cons

      Little sense of direction and no job security-more layoffs are likely in the offing, after 3 waves so far. Projects often terminated after much work, even when successful. Very poor esprit de corps. Average salaries and no stock options.
