Pros

You get paid a lot with great benefits for the amount of work required of you. The HQ is the nicest building I've ever worked in. Stock Options (RSUs) for all.

Cons

Very little communication. Company is headed downhill. People have massive egos because they have big titles but little responsibilities. You need to be able to stroke people's egos and be a yes-man to be successful. Management never fixes long-standing problems. Business practices aren't always ethical but it takes a while to figure that out. Nobody does anything which is really frustrating if you are trying to accomplish something....or worse, need to accomplish something.

Pros

Talented colleagues, beautiful home offices, flexible hybrid work-office schedules

Cons

Pay is among the lowest in the industry- no stock options and no sign-on bonus in first offer; significant lack of empathy at senior leadership levels; poor culture- where work and business results are always the first priority, then patients, and then people, and in that order; most colleagues will agree that the culture here leaves much to be desired.

Favoritism and bias abound

Pros

Good for people who are happy to push papers. Light unchallenging work load.

Cons

Lack of training, inconsistent grading (favoritism), work isn’t assigned with any thought to career growth or appropriately based on skills, managers appear to be lifers who have seem to have no training to be managers, at least good managers — it appears that friends protect friends regardless of merit. An “old Sanofi club” akin to an old boys network. The result is junior people don’t really learn and there’s little exposure to latest practices. Little support getting training externally. Even if the cost is meager. Comp and benefits severely lag behind the market and company doesn’t even provide yearly COL raise. You could be stuck at the salary you entered at for years and years.
