Pros

Great experience of a major high street bank through the rollercoaster of failing, takeover, acquisition and becoming a large global organisation.

Cons

Became very Spanish centric. Opportunities skewed towards Spanish management. Aspirations of the bank not matched by day to day commitment to making it happen. If you're 'in' you're in. Annual reviews not done on a level playing field and intrinsically unfair to the majority.

Pros

Very entrepreneurial mindset. Before the merger with ABN in Brazil, it was a very familiar and good environment. Decisions were taken fast and they support more employees.

Cons

Very aggressive and political. Also depends a lot of the boss one has. They also don't value internal talent.

Pros

Company provides good opportunities for growth within the company, it´s a very good place to build a career, providing constant access to training. High demands and work under pressure, if you succeed here you'll be prepared to work in any banking company

Cons

Low compensation, high workload, especially operational or bureaucratic that makes it difficult to business management and customer orientation
