Pros

Great pay and benefits, but you have to work your way up to get it good pay but they start out with a decent amount. i think maybe $18 and up depending on the position you get more. i worked there for 9yrs and worked my way up. but its a great environment to work for. they give you shirts, shoes, points for gift cards, company backpacks, etc.. They show their appreciation is this regard. yearly pay raise. incentives for employee of the month.

Cons

You have drama mgrs then drama employees, some mgrs are disrespectful alot are not. its over 3k employees there, its best to stay to yourself depending on the team and mgr you get. i worked in collection and its a very STRESSFUL job that i had to quit. they use to give monthly no cap bonuses but they stopped it, and started a $2k bonus annually, other departments get more annually. i quit because all those years i worked for them, after the 7th year i didn't feel appreciated anymore. one of the mgrs i didn't like that didn't like me for no reason was finding ways to cut my bonus and gave me 20 cent raise and harassing me, when i was on her team cause i was making more money then her and i was only an employee, jealousy and favoritism. plus did i mention it was STRESSFUL IN COLLECTIONS. they say they care about mental health but THEY DON'T. when the pandemic came that's when it got worse. People were having problems paying their car notes and will take it out on YOU, and don't care how they talk to you very disrespectful and santander didn't have any systems in place for this , they just wanted you to keep trying to get payment! and it didn't help at all especially with them cutting off the bonus, at least the bonuses made me stay longer. They also say you can move to other positions but they overlook you and give it to someone else no matter how long you worked for the company unless they are hiring bad in another department that you want. They work you to death and then sometimes ask for mandatory time which i hated. but they say work-life balance thats a LIE! They only care about business needs when it comes to your freedom with having a life outside of work! Don't get me started on the vacation time which you get it in increments (3-4hrs) weekly. if you are someone that has kids and a life, this position may not be for you, because all your vacation time will go on appointments, sick time, etc, and you won't have vacation time to yourself. For me all those years i never took a 2 week vacation because life happens, that was another thing i hated. They have surveys for employees to give their opinions about the company but they pick the questions they ask you and don't really care unless its about the company. The pay raise yearly is no more then 40 cents or less which is nothing.
