Pros

Good benefits (stock, insurance), money is OK, some hokey tickets contests which is almost impossible to win (1 in 3000), nice cafeteria ($)

Cons

Cubicles, access-bad location, IT is restructuring so management is still "adjusting", low on staff, burocracy (Specially projects), environment is very Microsoft oriented, conservative and rather boring. Going up the ladder is almost impossible, they hire their friends and consulting companies (like Avanade) to do the fun work.

Pros

- Union Wages (they wouldn't pay us what we make without the union)

Cons

- Management rarely leaves the office or breakroom, organize matters or know of any of the going ons in the plant. In turn, workers and their politics are left to distribute the work which leads to 90% of the work being done by 10% of the workers. - Maintenance are very rarely seen doing any real repairs or work at all, and just sit around in their separate building or walk around telling the actual workers how much they make, and brag about how little they actually do. - There is no accountability or discipline. Lazy employees get away with doing very little, and sit in the breakroom the majority of the time, and in turn a "he's not doing anything why should I?" mentality is present. Having an actual work ethic gets you rewarded in no way at all except more work pushed onto you, and therefore more opportunities to mess something up and get blamed. - Any part-timer who is more competent then others is forced to learn more complicated jobs for the same pay. - Hours are middle of the night or late afternoon and you need 25+ years of seniority to get weekends off.
