Pros

I worked for over 15 years for Save the Children US and stayed because of my colleagues. The staff were smart, committed and fun to work with. The organization cares about its employees and went out of its way to take care of us as best as possible when USAID was eliminated and our programs suddenly terminated. The benefits are great at Save, there was tons of opportunity for growth (hence why I stayed for so long).

Cons

It had gotten very big and so there was bureaucracy asspcoated with that.
