      Bourbon and Oil Changes

      Pros

      I came from owning oil change locations. When I hired my employees, I would always tell them “I’m in the customer service business, we just happen to work on cars”. Here it is even MORE of the philosophy that “we are in the customer service business, we just happen to make great bourbon”. I love Sazerac’s approach to customer service, and it’s apparent that this approach comes from the top down. If you’re a customer service enthusiast, this is your heaven on earth.

      Cons

      Would like to see more opportunities to buy special bottles, maybe offer an ‘extra’ on special anniversary’s. Other than that, the only con would be you are usually wiped out by the end of day. It’s always ‘showtime’ at BTD.

      Pros

      The best thing about working for Sazerac is that I get to meet and talk to interesting people every day. Yes, I have a variety of duties but taking people in a tour of the facility and explaining the bourbon making process to people is the best.

      Cons

      More SOPs needed. As a part-time employee my exposure to different transactions is limited and I sometimes need to find someone to help me.
