Pros

Great Pay and Benefits package

Cons

Unorganized and chaotic in the workplace- No one knows what they are doing. The blind is leading the blind. This company has very sneaky tactics and come off as very untrustworthy to the retailers. MDRs are expected to produce unobtainable results when little to no resources! Diversity and Inclusion is a HUGE issue in this organization.

Pros

This position is extremely flexible, you can pretty much make your own hours as long as you get your job done. KPIs are reasonable and (should be) achievable, however…

Cons

Hiring for this position happened extremely immaturely. There is absolutely no organization, rhyme, or reason to anything that goes on. MDRs are tasked with achieving goals with little to no leverage/resources to do so. Budgets are lenient, but all business expenses must be put on a personal card. In comparison to other reps, we are massively disadvantaged. Minimal access to quality resources/support in comparison to other reps, and these are crucial considering the dying brands we are tasked to sell. You pretty much only see your coworkers/management a few times per year, so there is no culture or sense of family. Every day is geotracked via an app and micromanaged. As noted in other reviews, managers are glorified babysitters and their role seems pointless. Some days they’re helpful some days you can’t even reach them. Hires seem to be made entirely externally, and there are often reps with years of industry experience being managed by people with none. Bonus structure is unclear and its components constantly change, even at its cap it is subpar. It is unacceptable to offer a bonus in an offer letter, yet have no guideline for how to earn it once the employee accepts. Turnover rate is extremely high across positions/seniorities. The typical perks of working for a liquor company (happy hours, team bonding activities, work trips, meals/drinks) are few and far between. You need to be extremely motivated and passionate about sales to succeed here; if you are new to sales or questioning your career path I would steer clear. It is very hard to stay motivated and content in this position considering the lack of culture, inexperienced and constantly transitioning management, lack of direction/resources, and the company’s overall unpreparedness to hire for this position.
