Pros

- light in responsibility + workload - fun customer interactions - very flexible scheduling and management - decent starting pay for part time work (around 17.00) - THE DISCOUNT

Cons

- low hours (shifts here are short, longest being 6 hours) - sometimes can be boring / monotonous - environment caters to a political audience (right leaning). Sometimes can feel hostile to POC employees and patrons

Pros

Scheels was a very positive work environment and most of the people I worked with were genuinely helpful. The job itself was a perfect role for a college student looking to work during school as they offered flexible scheduling. As someone who loves to fix and tinker, a service tech role offered the chance to learn valuable skills and never felt dull as long as their was sufficient work.

Cons

The job could become slow inbetween busy seasons but this was normally for only a couple months out of the year. This time could be taken to learn new skills or work on other projects if you were interested in growing in the position.
