Pros

Management is great, and Schneider always has freight ready to be moved. Benefits aren't bad.

Cons

No money. $.35 cpm. I ran an average of 2500 miles per week and 10000 miles per month. paychecks ranged from $600-$800 rare to make more than that and rare to make less.

Pros

Normally starts you off with a higher pay than most companies. They're flexible to react to your personal life. They want you to leave. Safety is taken seriously. Other truck employers would hire you if you worked for Schneider because they know you've been trained well and succeeded (unless you've been fired). Not trying to be racial, but this is one of the best Big Companies and the black driver ratios is higher here than any other employer (I like the fact that the minorities are the majorities in this organization). Best place for owner operator (you really gets to pick your loads....JB Hunt too).

Cons

As big as the company is, they won't give guarantee pay. Covenant Transport, Mavericks, K&B Transportation, Boyle, Mast Trucking, and certain US Express accounts off it. There's been many of times I had crappy miles and pay was 3-5 hundrish dollars. I had to threaten to leave to get better miles. The DBL's has too many drivers assigned to them that they can't personally get to know you (like other big trucking companies). Team drivers has a high chance of not staying together ( some to do stick it out). Team drivers work better with someone they are related to or knew in the past very well (this is team driver employers cross the border). The list can go on because all companies has their alike and unique characteristics.

Pros

Hires rookies, time off is mostly granted. Lots of miles if you want it.

Cons

Low pay, office/dispatch seems to change a lot. Tons of overweight loads.
