Pros

- Great People - Easy Hours - Positive Attitude - Fun Content

Cons

- Below market pay - Poor Benefits - Very limited opportunity for advancement. In the three years I have been full-time I have seen almost the entire marketing staff turn over because of this problem.

Pros

Scholastic has a beautiful mission that the company strives to achieve outside of its walls. Some of the people who work here are really great.

Cons

Bureaucracy is everything. Mediocrity is valued above most else. Values are out of date and hindering the success of the company overall. Upper management does not recognize, acknowledge or reward outstanding work or minds. Some serious ethical issues in every corner. The reality behind a childhood favorite is actually really ugly and sad.

Pros

None There isnt a single positive here the pay is low the tasks are low quality busy work its a farce. If you are intelligent you dont belong here. Its for dummies who think they are in a glamour industry. Extremely low pay.

Cons

Bad management. My boss was incompetent. Morning meetings are held in different locations and they wont tell you where so you end up walking around for 20 minutes trying to hunt down the big pow wow session. Bad management NO advancement opportunity and sweat shop drek type work. Real scutt work. The "editors" are nothing more than spoiled brats who have no respect for other people. Avoid this company.
