Pros

Smart board curriculum and lesson plans are provided. Excellent material for the first three years of language learning for young children. Short hours leaves half the day open for work/life balance.

Cons

Lack of training and support resources. No knowledge base. No forum. No digital libraries. Chinese society can be insular and businesses are very paranoid. The result is that teachers are almost always forbidden from speaking to parents and are forbidden from disciplining students in any way. Behavioral problems will not be resolved and complaints will never be taken seriously by Chinese employers. Lack of career opportunities. You will always just be a teacher.
