Pros
- Ability to implement own ideas to contribute on a large scale - Excellent health insurance - Some of the people you work with are really great
Cons
- Pay is super low for my field. Finding out that people here are making 1.5x more than me in the same position (with similar experience) makes me pretty unhappy. - Lack of remote work options - Company is going through massive growing pains - Overworked and undervalued - Many aspects of government work bleeds into the job - lots of hoops to jump through, archaic processes, etc. - Lack of learning opportunities - everywhere I've worked as an SE before has offered something like subscriptions to Udemy or LinkedIn learning
