There's virtually no room for growth within the company, both position wise and pay wise.
Pay overall is so-so, to be frank. We are paid okay, but compared to other companies in our area both office workers and field workers are underpaid, field workers being the most underpaid compared to other local companies. This causes a retainage issue with employees because they're constantly leaving for better paying positions. It also causes people to leave for higher paying jobs, only to come back and ask for me and receive it which causes other employees to feel slighted.
If you want to move to a different area of work, it almost feels like having to move a stone wall out of the way and I get the impression that management does NOT want me to leave my current position which is discouraging because it feels like they just don't want to have to replace me if I were to move.
Workload amongst office workers is not very organized, as a lot of people have their "hands in the pot" and there isn't much clarity on who does what. Communication from management is also sub-par, and we often feel like complaints fall on deaf ears.
