Pros

-Great 401k plan -its better than nothing -Fellow colleagues are great to work with

Cons

-No raises. -Lowest moral I've ever seen or have been a part of. -Upper management only worries about how much money they save each quarter. -People that get into management are not technical and are not willing to learn or take suggestions to better their department. -None of the production problems are addressed and are only bandaided when a problem is causing the company to loose money. -The benefits suck. -No room for growth or potential career opportunities. -The cubical farm seems more like a slave plantation. -HR has no clue what they are doing and often loose applications or mess up someone's paycheck.

Pros

Twenty word minimum? This will be a struggle but.... the building in Chicago is nice, as is the cafeteria. Can't think of much else.

Cons

When this was WMS, it was a good company to work for, with annual raises, bonuses, perks, and a relaxed fun environment. We also made top of the line product. Since the buyout by SG, and subsequent merger with Bally, it is a shell of it's former self. Company is deeply in debt., and does not care about anything besides bottom line. Unless you are absolutely desperate to find a job, stay far away. Cons: - No raises - No longer giving company wide bonuses - Constant threat of layoffs - Far too many non-technical people in charge of technical departments - Lowest morale possible - Most people are looking to get out - To top it off, there is a bird that attacks your head when you walk outside of the building

Pros

Small teams. Team members treated well. Cool hardware technology at times. Goal of quality, even if goal isn't always met. Developers treated as authority.

Cons

Warned when I started that they ran a rotating door of employees. I was cut after 3rd layoff in 2 years. Win a state lottery - hire. Lose a state lottery - fire. Shop is packed with politics and in-house backstabbing. Experience soured one coworker so dramatically that he moved out of the country to escape "evil" companies.
