Some Lottery Based Projects are not good in work life balance
Pros
*Support in extra curricular activities like sports, dance, music etc *Table Tennis,Carrom to play after 6P.M (but you will not get time to play.) * cab facility after 8:30PM(approval from manager is required) * recognition of out standing employees, for example you can come up with an initiative of creating a smart application which will improve the current system and give some presentation/demos on it .If organization likes it you can set up your own team and start working on it .you will get rewards , recognition and appreciation for doing the same * descent training programs for freshers and mid level experienced employees
Cons
*Some Lottery based projects like Unified PAM have very terrible work culture. *It is because of senior management who makes you work 24*7. *I am there in this project for more than 6 months now , sometimes i have seen my colleagues work till 3A.M even though it is not necessary. *many employees are quitting the organization in my project for same reasons. *Management does not simply care about your personal career growth. You will be changed with different outdated technologies continuously at regular intervals even though you are not willing to do it.After some time you will not be having a firm grip on any of the technologies.I have seen my colleagues who were from PHP,Java background were made to work on Pentaho ETL for years together. Now, they have almost forgotten PHP and Java! *Team seems to be good and well equipped with technologies but most of the time senior management lacks in planning tasks which again brings back stress to the developers. *Most of the time you will get call from your manager at the time when you will be planning to leave the office after finishing your work and he will assign you some crazy tasks to which you have no background and no help and expects you to finish it on time. This makes you work over night .
