Pros

1. Cheap staff travel ticket. You can purchase staff travel as much as you like for you and 5 other nominees. 2. You can have any kind of hairstyle and color just don’t be outrageous. 3. Training is shorter compared to other airlines. 4. You get to meet and work with different people almost every flight. 5. People expect lesser from you as you are working for a LCC.

Cons

1. Staff travel is on standby basis. You can book and make payment for you flight but if your flight happens to be full, you won’t fly. 2. Half of the crew in charge and seniors are always looking down on new crews and always tend to zap them instead of helping them to learn. 3. You will have to share a room with another same gender crew during layover unless you are lucky. 4. Low salary even after all the allowances. They pay you a mere $30+ for transport allowance for layover flights and that is for your to and fro to the airport. If you land or depart when there is still public transport, you don’t get your transport allowance. 5. Standbys are horrible. You get Atleast one or two standbys a month and it starts from 0000hrs to 2359hrs. If you take mc, you’ll be on standby the next day at 1200hrs. 6. You pay for almost everything yourself from luggages to shoes to even your food. You can purchase on board snacks or meals at only 50% off. They don’t even provide meals. 7. Get ready to have flights Everyday for turnarounds. There are flights that make you report at 8am and you report off at 11am, wasting your travel time. The roster will state 8am reporting time but you’ll have to reach Atleast 30-45 mins before that or you’ll be reprimanded by your in charge for the flight. Nobody reports on time.

Pros

- Staff travel is cheap but, not that great if its a full flight. If you want a confirmed ticket, get it elsewhere. - Dont need to bring work back home, once you leave the immigration gate, your work ends. - Fun colleagues (sometimes if you are lucky) - Repetitive work, don't need to use your brain.

Cons

- Average pay. Pay dropped after merger. - Standby sucks. 00:00-23:59. And you're not safe even after being activated, because they can remove your next flight, due to insufficient rest, then give you another standby. If they happen to activate you the second standby, theres a chance they can remove another flight and give you a third standby. #truestory. Ridiculous, i know. - After merger, more turnarounds than layovers. (Unless you were previously from tiger, then they will probably give you alot of layovers. Weird huh?) - Swapping of flight is only there for show. So difficult to swap.
