Pros

Many of the people are very nice and help make the day-to-day experience better (as many are in the same boat)

Cons

Far too often we were left asking "why are we doing this?" without a satisfactory response. There is little strategic thinking, or if there is it does not filter into the actual activities being performed. Very little opportunity in development / training, and the processes and IT skills in the company reflect this. The actual actions and decisions do not reflect the supposed cultural values. In short, if you are considering joining ScottishPower and are good at your job you will stand-out as a high performer - but in the long-term your development and skills will suffer.
