Favoritism is shown to some workers over others in the ed, i feel like i am back in a high school situation compared to the real world. it's the younger nurses who know very little v/ the older more experienced rn's. this is also dribbling down now to the md's. the younger newer md's who practically are so greenit's not funnt, try to run the ed and the older md's are shunned. we have lost so many pt's due to staff incompetence in san diego, hillcrest. i's horrible. i could go on and on. wrong meds given, orders not followed, appropriate medical cared not done. the tail is wagging the dog in certain cases. one of the ed rn supervisors has been reassigned and her replacement is a yes girl. no experience we are all concerned as to how shr got to be a day shift supervisor w/ only 2 yrs exp and she was poor at her clinicals. of cours the older rn who left was also incompetent so we ere all glad to see her gone to chula vista. too bad for them down there.
