Pros

Let me start off by stating the benefits of working at ScriptPro.. open bar at Christmas party and beautifully landscaped campus.

Cons

Now for the issues they have as a whole, and within the Sales Department in particular: Unfortunately some at ScriptPro do not have the best interest of their employees at heart. Regardless of the type of complaints taken to HR they generally fall on deaf ears, and this has been particularly true in the Sales Department. Numerous employees have gone to HR, the CFO and CEO about serious and disturbing issues going on within the department and they have all turned a blind eye. The issues including the following; making the team watch management do push-ups as their “reward” for meeting goals assigned to them, making inappropriate comments in reviews/meetings/team huddles, lashing out on employees if they stand up for themselves, making a scene during a team dinner at a restaurant - so bad the bar staff asked them to leave, belittling both male and female staff in front of others or one-on-one, and don’t get me started on the “boys club” comments. Several of the females felt very uncomfortable just having them on the same floor, not to mention being in their office by themselves. They were given several weeks to improve their behavior and, when that didn’t happen, they “demoted” them by moving them to another building and letting them build their own team. Fast forward a couple of years and they have been moved back and promoted, bringing their new team with them. They are a master of taking credit for other’s hard work. Needless to say, over a dozen good people have left over the past couple of years because of them. Moral of the story is: If you want to go to work everyday to be belittled, unappreciated, never get a considerable raise (due to beautiful landscaping) and feel like you need therapy after working with the Sales Department Management then ScriptPro is the company for you!

Pros

Fantastic people. Good benefits. Great campus. Incredibly company get-togethers. A place to grow professionally with lots of career mobility within the company.

Cons

There is a ton of proprietary stuff that you won't find elsewhere which makes it difficult to jump in at first but, I suppose that's what you get when they started in 1994. A lot of the technologies didn't exist or weren't widely used yet so they had to make their own.

A Career, Not Just a Job

Pros

Recent changes to benefits seem to be driven by senior management listening to their employees. This is a great stride forward. Plus, the people I work with every day make it never feel like a "job" that I drive in for. For me it is a career choice, and I feel I am compensated well for my hard work. I also enjoy the free fitness center on campus and the free classes that are offered too! Yoga, Zumba, self-defense and more are available.

Cons

As with any company, a person kind find things they dislike. Probably for ScriptPro one of its biggest negatives is the fact that most C level executives are all family members. This can instill fear in speaking your mind or pushing back too hard against bad ideas. Even in business, the perception to employees is that blood is definitely thicker than water. No one wants to risk their position for speaking their mind.

Pros

So many but my favorites - The best people and management in industry so much it feels like family. Everyone works hard and looks out for each other in this group. We can work from home or in office or hybrid. The campus is beautiful. Management favors family and flexibility. They are involved, supportive, available. The team is unique and accepting. We care about each other. Our Manager works really hard, is supportive, cares about the team and team synergy. Our customers can be tough but they rely on us and we become close. Our jib is not the same one day to the next so it is exciting and never boring or dull. For these reasons I highly recomend.

Cons

The job is fast pace and challenging. I work hard and some times weird hours. It can be overwhelming but the pros make it very enjoyable.

Great industry niche. Solid engineering team. CEO has built solid industry relationships. Larger IT staff for company size. Nice facilities and campus.

Cons

Extremely flat organizational structure (family owned and run). Tight with cash. Struggles through change management. Huge departmental silos and lack of synergy. Poor ethics at top level.

Pros

ScriptPro is a gem in Kansas City. The family owned business has a warm atmosphere and a can-do attitude amongst employees. There is a lot of attention paid to new employees to make sure they have the training and knowledge they need to do an excellent job. Plus, employees are all helpful if you have questions or don't know how to do something. The owners seem to listen and care about the employees. This year we filled out employee satisfaction surveys and within a short time the owners made major improvements to employee benefits. At other organizations those types of improvements would have taken at least 6 months, but here it was done quickly. It shows that they really care about employee happiness which makes it even more motivating to do a great job. There is always something fun happening, farm parties, holiday parties, bbq competitions, etc. It really is a fun culture to be a part of everyday and makes it fun to come to work. Finally, the campus is beautiful. There is a sense of pride to see all the landscaping and flowers around each building and certainly adds to the world class products we produce.

Cons

There are some politics, like everywhere else, but other than that it's a very pleasant place to be. If you try hard and have a good attitude you'll have a great time here.

Pros

Supportive management that helps you find your place in the company. Room for advancement if you work for it. Great atmosphere where everyone seems to be on the same team. The pay seems fair and I've received a few raises since getting hired. The benefits are nice and provide good coverage at a reasonable price. They have professionals coming to campus all the time to help you with your 401k. I have never worked for a company that has done so much to make me feel valued and welcome. I started here as a contractor assembly tech that came in during a large project. I ended up getting hired and I've moved up the ladder rather swiftly. They also have some cool features on campus such as the free fitness center, small convenience stores, and free food on the regular being brought in by other employees. Add on top the large parties and events that are thrown year round, it really is a great place to work. I come into work every day happy to be there and see everyone I work with.

Cons

I've noticed some communication issues, but they are always working on doing better. I've noticed some flip-flopping with upper management. But that may be due to the industry. I can't think of anything else!
