      Pros

      Seagate is a very fast paced environment which I like. The people that I work with are great and the work-life balance is a major plus.

      Cons

      Unfortunately the way Seagate does promotions (or perhaps its lack of promotions) punishes those who do the actual work, instead the people that claim that work are the ones that are recognized.

      Pros

      - Good work environment - has a workout facility, decent cafeteria - Above average pay. - Helpful mentors and fellow workers.

      Cons

      - I worked in a testing lab where I had to drop test drives for long periods of times; this kind of got boring after a while.

      had a very strong technical leadership which was given up now it seems like focus is on playing catchup with competition

      Cons

      buddy system favouring promotions. middle management out of sync with reality; too many management levels; big disconnect between future direction and current plans
