Pros

Casual work environment and friendly co-workers

Cons

The company's tech team is entirely reactive. It's either trying ram through new features in time for a trade show or paying the technical debt for short-sighted decisions. Developers are not engaged to solve problems but to do what is asked.

Pros

-Established sales culture. Everyone's there to help you succeed. Big on team selling -Best products in the industry. They recently launched a machine learning product called Content Experience. Digital Marketers love it and nobody else in the market can come close to replicating it. -I highly approve of the executive team. Volker, Marcus, and Dirk are really great guys to work for. You can get a sense that they genuinely care about the direction of the company. In my 2.5 years there, I never once thought that they lost track of being customer centric. -You'll be working with highly intelligent and seasoned sales people. Most of which will gladly help you along and provide mentorship if you're a hard worker -Customers love the product and their support/training experience -Yearly trip to HQ in Berlin which is always an epic experience. All the DACH based employees are super friendly and welcoming -In general, employees are treated very well. Not a whole lot of micro-management

Cons

-If you're remote or even report directly to their San Matteo or NYC offices, you'll need to be ready to self-learn. Not for someone that needs hand holding -One of their biggest competitors has bullied them in the marketplace over the last few years which has unfortunately lead to a BS patent lawsuit. You can ask any client in the Search/Content space and they have nothing but respect for Searchmetrics as a company. -Commission plans highly favor top producers, so no coasting through sales quarters -BDR support is somewhat weak. You'll have a better chance of hitting your number if you focus on generating your own opportunities -Sales cycles can be extremely long. This is expected as the service offering is geared for the Enterprise market. Just be aware that legal/procurement can take months in some cases.
