      Pros

      On-site employee education and 'noontime' seminars offered are great if you can fit it in with your workload.

      Cons

      Massive changes going on, not sure where it will all lead or if they will succeed. Many opportunities open, most are IT or high-level positions requiring skills not easily acquired inside the company.

      Pros

      Good benefits, great place to work out of college, flexible schedules, work from home opportunities, accessible location.

      Cons

      Minimal career advancement opportunities outside management, low salary compared to the market with heavy focus on benefits package, lack of recognition for valuable work completed, promotion based on number of positions available vs. performance and proven value provided to the business.

      Pros

      I worked at Securian for 7 years. I started in an entry level position and moved into a higher level position once I finished my degree. They offer tuition reimbursement and a lot of other great benefits.

      Cons

      At the time, they touted their work/life balance and flexibility but it was frowned upon in my area to work from home, even for an afternoon. It also totally depends on the manager and department because some people's teams can work from home consistently once per week.
