You only get paid for 1 hour of training even when you are trained for 2 days. You also have to take a slew of tests to earn your PERC card and 20 hour training certificate. (The tests and training didn't even take 20 hrs so I don't know why they call it a 20 hour training certificate). Also you are required to purchase your uniform with half of your first several pay checks! Then on top of that if you get sent to a Union worksite, you have to pay Union dues and a Union application fee. So basically for the first several weeks you don't make much money because you are already only making about $10/hr.

The pay is not good. Been at my job for 15 years would like to work 1st instead of 2nd shift
