      Pros

      For contract security pay was ok at $17 an hour and overtime was available

      Cons

      As stated by another, never received a review, never received a raise. Some of the managers (appears most are no longer there) had little to no understanding of some of the jobs they were in charge of monitoring. One Shift Manager was always too busy playing on his phone or filling out online applications for another job while calls are piling up. My first manager was a complete joke. He was fired supposely for playing video games while on duty.

      Pros

      Gets your foot in security, and get the Guard card you need in your state. The ability to basically do nothing for your shift.

      Cons

      Where do I start. If your smart don't expect to get promoted. They don't like any one who is smarter than the management that is at the branch level. Management likes to put down there employees and then in return expect them to be grateful that the officer has a job. And the pay is crappy.

      Pros

      The people you meet and the clients you work with are generally pretty nice and you get to learn a lot from those experiences. This job also has a fair amount of job security because of the high turnover rates.

      Cons

      Terrible healthcare, Terrible pay, little room for advancement, and relief officers are often times severely overworked and stretched fairly thin. Depending on your region, your management office could be really awesome or rude and unhelpful.
