Pros

2 stars because the other therapists I worked with were simply amazing. I had never worked with such a caring group of individuals.

Cons

I was signed on as full time and was told I would be receiving a salary; however, I was actually paid hourly and was barely meeting full time hours due to the up and down of building census. If I worked under 32 hours I didn't get my benefits. Long story short-I felt as though I was being taken advantage of as a new grad...underpaid and lied to. Also, RIDICULOUS productivity requirements..this company truly only cares about money and couldn't possibly care less about the well being of the patients.

Pros

Select Medical is hands down the best place I have ever worked. Even as a new-hire, every single coworker welcomed me with open arms and immediately treated me like they have known me for years! Anytime I run into a problem, I can reach out to any member of the team with confidence that they will do everything they can to help out! The management team and trainers are absolutely AMAZING! I have never been in a position where I was recognized for my achievements until I started working at Select Medical. They made sure that I had all the tools I needed to do my job efficiently and correctly, and the management goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to let you know you're doing a great job. Flexible scheduling, very comfortable starting salaries, ample opportunity for advancement, and an all around positive environment. I love my job!

Cons

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Select Medical.

Pros

Structured support from Regional Directors. Great training at Nashville headquarters. Ahead of the curve on health insurance trends/reimbursement. Strong emphasis on Regulatory compliance

Cons

A culture of blaming and knee jerk reactions. They have staff development and education centralized which is helpful, but employee engagement is low
