Pros

When management sets up afterwork meet-ups, they don't skimp on the outing When I 1st started, 5 years before I abruptly quit this job...it was honestly a wonderful position and place to work. My manager was extremely knowledgeable in the process and always his teams back. He wasn't going to throw you under the bus or allow his upper manager to screw with your money. The company really cared about their employees and provided you a beautiful office, great amenities, and a salary/caseload/worklife balance that you didn't have to sell your soul for. Then... management changed, the company went public and everyone (employees and customers) were screwed

Cons

Overwhelming caseload Minimal training yet big repercussions for errors including but not limited to the refusal of your monthly bonus Speaking of bonuses, management had developed a system that essentially holds your bonus hostage. - If you are absent for more than 2 days (leaving more than 15 mins early will be considered an unexcused absent as well) NO BONUS -If you don't make the required number of calls/work the required number of cases a day NO BONUS -They even have a note saying basically if you p*ss off your team leader or manager...they can refuse your bonus **Keep in mind, your bonus is figured by the premium amounts from the cases you completed and closed that month..so you are building it up everyday, and it can be snatched away from you at any moment and they have no issue doing so. Trust me,speaking as a single parent who's $1,200 bonus was taken away because I couldn't work for 3 days due to a sick baby This position is the bottom of the life insurance totem pole. You will get all the responsibility of the case, the least compensation, least recognition, least respect ,and ALL of the blame if the cases don't complete I won't go into detail, but management not only encourages you to strong arm the clients into coverage amounts they don't want, they expect you to call and basically harass these poor people 2-3 times a WEEK with a phone call (to all numbers provided),Text, email, and voice mail. It's CRAZY Compensation is not consistent..your hourly pay and bonus potential are subject to change every 3 months. I'm not talking about $.25 changes..I'm talking $5.00 differences in hourly and $1000+ in bonuses. Management is always in meetings and hardly available when you need them. You are never fully trained because they are adding more and more responsibility to your plate. Tasks that once belonged to a whole department now belongs to you..so strap up your boots, cause after this 45 min zoom meeting, it's go time. But hey, whenever you feel overwhelmed..frustrated or confused..management always encourages you to step away for those two 15 min breaks,or your 30 min lunch and decompress. .. (because that hour you're away from your desk will be collected at the maditory overtime you'll be hearing about in a surprise email from your manager 😉)

Pros

BlueCross BlueShield as healthcare insurance.

Cons

The pay is awful, managerial staff is super toxic (yes, Jaquesha Phillips, this is towards you). The company doesn’t contribute to their 1.25% portion of the annual bonus because they are cheap. NO SICK DAYS. Occurrences for absences, even if you have a reason to be absent and they pull absent days from your PTO without permission. Only 6 paid holidays a year (Veteran’s Day wasn’t even included even though I grew up military). Stupid high performance expectations and on “associate appreciation day” they only give you $25 to spend IN STORE. rewards system with the company is based on points and not actually paying you for your hard work. $0.50 “annual increase” for salary increases after fiscal year. Most of the team can’t stand the managerial staff and are either looking for second jobs to make extra money and/or looking for new jobs to replace the job entirely. Too much work equipment. Software they use for SelectRx lags/doesn’t work consistently. You’re wasting your time applying for and even working here. I got fired for “low performance” even though I was a remote worker with broken equipment. They have fired people in the past for “missing too many work meetings” (even though most meetings are sent on the fly in the group chat) and “violating the policy” for things that aren’t even in official documents. Also, HR is not for the team. HR only supports upper management. Take this review EXTREMELY serious and with utmost caution before even thinking about applying here.
