Pros
- The technology is very, very exciting. We're doing something brand new with a ton of potential - On that note, you get to feel about what you're working on! Sense has the potential to make a really positive impact on the world and you'll get to work with people who are genuinely motivated by that possibility - Co-workers are experienced, but always very open and generous with explanations, brainstorming, and advice - Friendly, welcoming atmosphere - Experienced and ambitious leadership team - Respect for your autonomy and opinion, as well as room to research, grow, and experiment - In my experience, great work/life balance. Cons
- Could be either a pro or a con, but Sense's culture is fairly shy/introverted. This means that when you are doing your work, people will respect your space, but it also means you might have to make a bit of extra effort to get to know people. If you do, I think you'll find them delightful. It's also worth noting that this is something the company thinks about pretty intentionally - for instance, we started doing lunch lotteries where we pick random employees to go out to lunch - to try and make sure people get to know each other. - As other reviewers have said, Sense is still in early growth phases. They've got a lot the most important stuff nailed down (especially since the folks in leadership have already started, scaled, and sold another company), but you'll have to take ownership of your work here. I've found that to be a tremendous learning opportunity, but I understand that it's not for everybody.
