Pros

If you like helping people, you will do that a lot here. You are patients’ first point of contact, and the way you treat them will affect their entire experience.

Cons

During my time, people were constantly being hired and fired. Due to this, there was a cutthroat work environment where people would tattle on each other as a “look at them, not me!” This was obviously extremely stressful on top of a job that is high pressure and a ton of work. You will be constantly busy and scared that you’re going to lose your job.

Ok but not great

Pros

There are a lot of different jobs in network if you’re willing to stay inside the company. Some managers are great but not all. Very hard to get fired.

Cons

Bullying happens. The culture of your workplace depends on the unit you work on. Some of the doctors can be out of line as well. HR doesn’t help you if this happens. They don’t get rid of people like this so you’re stuck working with them. Workload is too much for bedside nurses.
